He's also a lawyer!
Outside of the wonderful world of theatre and film, David is an attorney. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (formerly The John Marshall Law School) and has been practicing since 2010.
He is licensed in Illinois, Kansas (inactive), the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is a member of the Illinois Creditors Bar Association and the Decalogue Society of Lawyers. With Decalogue, he has been honored with a Life Membership and the Intra-Society Award for Merit.
He has also been a coach with the trial advocacy program at his law school for several years. He has coached three teams to national championships at the Harvard Law School Animal Law Closing Argument Competition (a competition he himself won when in law school).
David is the Senior Associate/Managing Attorney at Mauer & Madoff LLC.
